Phase one strength guide and tool

Stacking and simplicity in Strength (PHASE 1)

Damage balancing army and giving most inimical attack

Maximise Your March, Minimise Your Losses

Are you tired of watching massive chunks of your army get wiped out before they even take a swing?

In Total Battle, the first three rounds of combat are strictly alternating. If you pile all your troops into one massive squad and the enemy strikes first, your entire stack can be obliterated before dealing a single point of damage.

This is where the Army Configuration Tool changes the game.

You don’t need to do any complex math. By feeding the tool a few basic battle reports, the AI reverse-engineers the game’s hidden base stats and your account’s massive percentage bonuses. It calculates exactly how to split your army into mathematically perfectly balanced squads.

The Value for You:

  • Survive the First Strike: Balanced stacks mean you don’t lose your whole army if the enemy hits first.
  • Maximize Rewards: Surviving troops deal more damage, increasing your net income and reducing loot variance.
  • Compound Your Damage: In the late game, perfectly split squads trigger double-damage and double-attack RNG bonuses far more often because they act independently.

Help us calibrate the tool for your account, and it can help do the math for every battle moving forward.

TEST Steps to Completion: The Baseline Protocol I need to know.

To get started, we need you to run a quick series of “Baseline” attacks. This isolates your raw troop damage so the tool can map your unique multipliers.

⚠️ CRITICAL WARNING: Do NOT run these tests during the Dark Omens tournament. The “Fatigue Marks” from that event secretly reduce your troop stats and will permanently corrupt your math.

Phase 1.1 : Capture Your Global Data (3 screenshots)

Before attacking, grab these three screenshots so the AI knows your starting modifiers:

  1. Profile Stats Page: Showing your total accumulated bonuses (Melee, Ranged, Army, Monster percentages).
  2. Target Screen: Click the monster you plan to attack and screenshot its weakness page.
  3. March Screen: Showing your chosen Captain/Hero and the exact troops sent.

Test and guidance on Phase 1.2-Troop Attacks

Remove ALL equipment and buffs from your Captain/Hero. For every attack below, you must send exactly 1 base unit(e.g., 1 Spearman).

  • Step 1: The Baseline (Run 3 Times) Send 1 troop to attack a standard monster of the same class (e.g., Melee vs. Melee). Run this exact attack 3 separate times. (Why? The game has a hidden 8.4% chance to deal double damage. Running it three times lets the AI spot and delete that RNG spike).
  • Step 2: The Cross-Class Check (Run 1 Time) Send 1 troop to attack a standard monster of a differing class (e.g., Melee vs. Mounted). This maps the rock-paper-scissors elemental buffs.
  • Step 3: The Epic Check (Run 1 Time) Send 1 troop to attack an Epic Monster. This isolates the massive conditional bonuses (like +400% against Epics)
    .

Phase 1.3: Submit

Send over your 3 screenshots and the 5 battle reports (showing the Unit Identifier, Troop Quantity, Target, and Final Damage). The tool will process your baseline, and you’ll be ready to auto-calculate the perfect stack for every future march.
